Director

Prior to her arrival at Bradley Central High School, Miss Lawson served as the director of Ebony & Ivory Concert Choir, Beginning Choir, assisted Renaissance Show Choir and taught Music Appreciation at Cleveland High School. Miss Lawson taught for four years at E.L Ross Elementary as a music specialist and producer of the morning television show. She was awarded Teacher of The Year in 1997 and 2007, and Bradley County District Level Grades 9-12 Teacher of the Year in 2007. Miss Lawson also taught at Tyner High and Middle Schools for three years where she served as Choral and Drama Director.

Miss Lawson recently added an endorsement in Educational Leadership and holds a Masters of Music in Church Music Studies and a Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis in voice from Lee University. While at Lee University, Miss Lawson was a member of the Campus Choir, Choral Union, Chorale, Ladies of Lee, Symphonic Band, and taught private voice lessons.

While living in Cleveland, Miss Lawson has held music staff positions at several area churches including Wesley United Methodist Church where she served as Worship Leader and Youth Choir Director; Youth Choir Director at Keith Street Church of God of Prophecy; Music Coordinator, Principle Pianist, Youth Praise Band and Peerless Praise Director at the Peerless Road Church, Minister of Music at Mount Olive North and pianist at Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. Additionally, Miss Lawson served as director of the Ladies of Lee Women's Choir of Lee University from 2001-2004.

Her love for music and youth is apparent in her choice of summer activities which often include directing and coordinating the music in summer camps and state conventions in Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Tennessee. She has also led praise and worship teams at youth and women's conferences in Mississippi, South Carolina, California and Tennessee. Additionally, Miss Lawson has been a member of mission teams that have traveled to the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas, Bulgaria, Finland, Greece, Haiti and Mexico.

Miss Lawson holds membership in the following professional organizations: East Tennessee Vocal Association, Tennessee Music Education Association, Music Education National Conference, Bradley County Education Association, Tennessee Education Association, National Education Association.
