Beginnings

Crossroads is a Christian Bible Study that was formed by Phil Pippenger.  Phil is a life-time resident of Cleveland.  He taught at Trewhitt Junior High (now Lake Forest Middle) for 11 years.  During his time teaching, students would often ask him questions about theology and how to defend their faith.  He began to pray about how God would use him and his family.  After much pray and advice from his church council he began to establish and form Crossroads of East Tennessee.  Phil and his family hope to equip students in applying God's wisdom to other students on the local campus.

Future of Crossroads

The Crossroads ministry is designed to create a sense of campus movement. Seeing students sharing their Jesus relationship with others on the local high school campus is the goal. There is coordination among area churches (Candies Creek Baptist, Clingan Ridge Baptist, Waterville Baptist, Mt. Carmel Baptist, and Westmore Church of God) beginning to take root in this effort.  Since its beginnings Crossroads has already spread to tow high schools and two middle schools.  The Crossroads team plans to start bible studies at other local area schools as well.
